Addressing climate risk and water security is critical for India’s economic and social development, as well as for the health and well-being of its citizens. India is committed to achieving water safety and security and combating climate change through missions and schemes in piped water access, water conservation, solar energy, energy efficiency, sustainable agriculture, ecosystem protection, sustainable habitat, and enhanced biodiversity.

The SWE Alliance, through community-led programs, expands access to safe water and green energy and promotes watershed development, waterbody rejuvenation, and reducing the severity of climate change through afforestation

and biodiversity initiatives to contribute to the national goals, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and COP 26. In partnership with sector stakeholders, we work towards advancing solutions and catalyzing investments in the water and energy sectors.
